Layout 3 - Found Winter :)

First I have to say I had an amazing time in Ottawa!!  My course was fantastic...exhausting but fantastic!  Did lots and lots of walking but saw a ton of sights.  I even got to go to fanfare for the NHL All Star Game!!  The flight home was long!!!!  We had to wait on our airplane for 3 hours to be de-iced before we could leave Ottawa.  So of course then we missed the connection in Toronto.  That plane ended up being delayed because the pilots were delayed flying in from Boston.  Was scheduled to get in around 3pm and made it home a little before 9pm.  At least I made it home that night!!!

I found some winter pics from last year...we took the kids to play at the park.  It was a really nice day during a very cold and snowy winter.  The kids had so much fun in the snow!  I am going to enter this over at http://creativeaccentschallenges.blogspot.com/ for the Let it Snow challenge!

Nothing to fancy, just used the Echo Park Wintertime kit and a sketch from Scrapbookers Etc...

Hope everyone had a great week!

Layouts #1 & 2

So I made a comment on Roxy's blog about how nice it has been here and how we would pay for it eventually.  I didn't think 2 days later it would be -46 with the windchill.  BRRRRRR.  I wish I had a winter layout to post!  Hoping to get some great winter pics this week as I am off to Ottawa for work.  I get to attend a 3 day training course which I am really excited for!  So I guess I will post summer layouts lol!  A few years ago we did a mommy and me photo session at Waterfall park.  So did I scrap the pics of me and my kids first......heck no!  I always have a hard time scrapping pics with me in them!  So here are the layouts I did for Janine and Tina`s pics.

Both layouts are using My Minds Eye Stella and Rose papers.

Hope you all have a great week!

Layouts 43-50

Ahhh, so close...missed my goal by 2.  Here's hoping this year is more crafty :)  So here's the rest...thanks so much to everyone who left comments and managed to stick with me in 2011.  I am aiming to post more consistently this year.  You guys have been great and I have really enjoyed following your blogs.  You are all such an inspiration!

We have Tina to thank for these layouts.  She brought me back a Star Wars kit from the states...I don't know why.  I would have no use for it lol!  Just had to buy this shirt for Josh so I could use the paper up (sarcasm).  Huge fan!  We all went as Star Wars characters for Halloween two years ago.

Using up some old CM product.  Baby Nate :)

No sure if this is K & Company or My Minds Eye but it's stinkin cute!  Also first time I used my CTMH glitter rub ons...an interesting process.

This is Heidi grace...didn't turn out quite how I wanted it...I think the colours are too muted in the paper.  Not sure.  Meh they can't all be superstars right!

Love the Wicked WOTG!  It was Lord of the Rings for trick or treating in 2009!  What am I going to do when my kids assert their free will!  This year was Harry Potter in case you were wondering. Yep I am a geek!

I love Bo Bunny...I think I waited to long and have missed out on their winter line for this year :(  Isn't my niece adorable!  I love the pic of her on the left side!

Speaking of geeks, my sister is holding up equate...it's Math scrabble!  She was so excited.

Okay you have finally made it to the end... this concludes 2011.  Bring on 2012!

Random House Readers Contest

I have added a new blog badge to my page!  I follow Random House of Canada on facebook (I still go on I just don't play games anymore lol).  They have announced their reading challenge program.  Every 2 months they will give a genre and several titles to read and review for a chance at prizes.  It's a great way to discover new authors and break you (that would be me) out of a reading funk.  The first challenge for the year is historical fiction and I am going to read the Virgin Cure by Ami McKay.  I encourage all you readers to play along or at the very least follow Random House Canada on facebook.  They were the best publishers to work with as a bookseller and they publish Kelley Armstrong so what more could you ask for.  Okay so I'm a little bias!  On a reading note I have finished my first 2 book of the year.  I am finally finished the Meridith Gentry Series by Laurell K Hamilton, well finished enough I read book 7 and I am happy to end there.  I also read Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr.  I am really becoming a fan.  I read Graveminder last year and really enjoyed it.  Okay I have rambled enough  Hopefully will post layouts tomorrow.

Layouts 41 & 42

First of all a very belated Merry Christmas and Happy New's Year's to all!!

I want to try to finish posting my 2011 challenge layouts so I can start on 2012.  I have challenged myself to 52 layouts, 12 altered projects and 30 Christmas Cards.  I know I can push myself further this year...I was wasting alot of time playing games on facebook which I have now deleted.  Feels good, less time on my computer = more crafting and reading!  I also hope to read 52 books this year something I really fell short on last year.  Wishing everyone a wonderful 2012 and thanks so much for comments and visits to my little blog :)

This was such a simple layout using Playground from Echo Park.

This was using the Miracle promo before CTMH launched the full paper pack in the Spring catty last year.  I can`t believe how little Nate is in these pics...he just turned 5.

I have taken the pics of the last 10 layouts so hope to post them all over the next week or so.  Talk to you all soon!
